Mystery Makers is Denmark's leading escape room provider for business. With us, your team will not only solve puzzles and crack codes, but also gain valuable insight into their superpowers as a team. We're looking for more ambitious colleagues who want to help deliver award-winning team building to the top of the Danish business community. You will be trained as a Gamemaster for our treasure hunts and escape rooms. As a Gamemaster, you are the face of Mystery Makers; it's your job to give guests a unique experience that makes them want to learn even more through play. 

In our escape rooms. Mystery Room® - the team is locked in a theme-based puzzle room and must work together to solve puzzles and crack codes to escape. Our scavenger hunts Mystery Hunt® - takes place in historic locations in Copenhagen, where the players are at the centre of an entertaining and mysterious journey through history. As Gamemaster, you are responsible for running the games and introducing guests to the Mystery Makers experience universe.

At Mystery Makers, we create entertainment that makes you smarter. We've been creating award-winning experiences since 2010 and have won the Creative Business Cup - the Danish championship for creative entrepreneurs. In 2014, we opened Scandinavia's first escape room to full houses. In 2018, we won AOK's award for Best Cultural Experience in the City and opened branches in Vienna and Budapest the same year. At Mystery Makers, we're looking for a student who wants to be part of the teamwork movement. We're looking for someone who believes that through play and learning we can learn about each other and the world around us.

We're nerds - and we're proud of it
You will be part of a group of curious nerds who have been creating award-winning experiences at home and abroad since 2010. We have won the Creative Business Cup for our Mystery Hunt® concept, which today can be found in the largest museums and attractions in Denmark and Austria. In 2014, we opened the first Scandinavian escape room, which today has developed into an entire industry. In 2023, like Tivoli and Lego House, we became finalists in the competition to be 'Denmark's Best Experience'.

Kickstart your career in Kbh K
As a trainee at Mystery Makers, you'll be a central part of the day-to-day operations at our office in Copenhagen K. You will get a versatile education by trying out the different departments. This will give you the opportunity to put your theoretical knowledge into practice and prepare you for the business world. We offer training in sales techniques, inventory management and event management, among other things.
More specifically, the student's work tasks:

1. customer contact: Our customers are primarily large Danish companies. You will be trained to communicate and sell to both businesses and private individuals when communicating with customers in our booking department.
You will also strengthen your group facilitation skills when running our experiences (Mystery Room® and Mystery Hunt®). To do this, it is important that you are flexible in terms of working hours and able to take on weekend work.

2. Operational tasks: With over 50,000 guests a year, it's crucial that both the big and small things work behind the scenes. You'll play an important role in managing our stock at places like Kronborg Castle and the Austrian National Museum. You'll also handle the day-to-day practicalities of the office (unloading the dishwasher, picking up parcels, ordering goods and the like).

3. Event coordination: We are an ambitious team, but at the same time we like to celebrate everyday life and organise internal social events to strengthen the team. The trainee is responsible for idealisation, coordination and procurement for such events.

  • Work full-time, with your hours spread across both weekdays and weekends

Mystery Makers® is looking for a maternity cover for a period of one year. Are you a results-orientated salesperson who thrives in an entrepreneurial culture where we provide team building to the largest companies in Denmark and Austria? Then you might be the one we're looking for!

Your tasks and role
We are looking for a maternity cover to help boost our incoming b2b sales, which make up the majority of our enquiries. You will be the face and voice of Mystery Makers and an important link between our company and our guests.

That's what we offer you:

We expect you to:

  • At least 2 years of B2B sales experience from e.g. the hotel, event, conference or travel industry.
  • Can prioritise enquiries based on the highest possible sales potential.
  • Be persuasive so that customer enquiries turn into sales.
  • Can express yourself quickly and accurately on both phone and email.
  • Prefer digital systems and automations over solving everything yourself.
  • Fluent in Danish and English. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
  • Works in a structured and independent manner.

Your primary tasks will be to

  • Process customer enquiries and convert them into sales.
  • Ensure a sharp and targeted customer journey for B2B customers.
  • Prepare quotes, confirmations and invoicing.
  • Coordinate bookings and liaise with our operations and partners
  • Handle administrative ad-hoc tasks.

The practicalities

  • The position is a full-time maternity cover with working hours Monday to Friday 9.00-17.00.
  • The employment is for one year and is in accordance with the Danish Salaried Employees Act and with salary according to qualifications.
  • There is a possibility of employment after the end of the temporary position depending on the needs of the organisation.
  • Expected start: 1 March 2025 or by agreement.
